Did someone say Live, Outdoor Music?
Spring is in the air, and you know what that means! Time for cruising with the windows down, smelling the beautiful flowers popping up everywhere, enjoying perfect weather, seeing GREEN everything, relishing in the increased sunlight, and many other outdoor activities. It's easy to say that most people love this time of year!
Greenville SC is known for holding numerous events throughout the year, but two of our personal favorites kick off next week and extend through the summer. These two events entail many unforgettable evenings spent in the Beautiful Downtown area, which radiates cheerful, easy living. Downtown Alive and Main Street Fridays are annual outdoor music events that are held in the NOMA Square, located right in the heart Greenville.

Downtown Alive is held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., starting on March 17 and ending August 25, 2016. This 24-week event serves as the single largest fundraiser for the Metropolitan Arts Council, which is a local corporation providing support and other services to art organizations, education programs, and even individual artists. If you know anything about Greenville, you know art is a huge component of our community!
Main Street Fridays is a 28-week event that is held on Friday evenings from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., starting on March 18 and ending on September 30, 2016. This event has a children's activity area (Century BMW Kids' Zone), complete with inflatables and other fun-filled activities such as face painting and arts and crafts!
Both of these events have many attractions including FREE entry, live music, dancing, contests, special events, and many wonderful memories to be made! There are also food and beverage stands for your enjoyment. So, who's ready to kick off Spring in Downtown Greenville?
