About the city of Fountain Inn
Fountain Inn got its name from an old Inn and fountain that were along the old stage coach route, and attracted travelers seeking rest from tiresome journeys between Greenville and the low country in South Carolina. The fountain still remains at city hall where it has always been and will always stay. The stage coach drivers called the stop Fountain Inn and it stuck. It
